Tufts Graduate Position Application
Thank you for expressing interest in being a Graduate Assistant with Tufts University during the 2023-2024 academic year. We have several positions available for next year that you can apply and interview for. Please review the below position summaries and indicate your interest in each position. More in-depth position descriptions will be made available before the interview step in our process.
On the next page, you will be asked to submit written answers to four questions. These submissions are due by 9am on Thursday, March 30th.
Office of Residential Life and Learning Positions
Assistant Residential Life Coordinator (1 Vacant Position)
Responsibilities: Support a Resident Assistant (RA) Staff in collaboration with a professional staff member, assist RAs with program development, advise a hall council, and meet with students of concern and roommate conflicts.
Compensation: An unfurnished one-bedroom apartment with internet/cable, paid parking and 100 meals per semester.
Hours expectation: 15-20 hours per week
Locations: Medford/Somerville Campus or Beacon Street, Brookline Campus
Graduate Assistant for Fraternity/Sorority Life and Special Interest Housing (1 Position)
Responsibilities: Support Special Interest and Fraternity & Sorority Life (SI/T/FSL) in collaboration with a professional staff member, serve as the primary advisor for Intergreek Council, support SI/T/FSL leadership development, event planning & recruitment processes.
Compensation: An unfurnished one-bedroom apartment with internet/cable, paid parking and 100 meals per semester.
Hours expectation: 15-20 hours per week
Location: Medford/Somerville Campus
Graduate Community Assistant Position (4 vacant positions)
Responsibilities: Support School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) students in their residential experience. This includes community development responsibilities, serving in an on-call rotation, reporting facilities needs, and completing administrative duties such as lockouts and move-in.
Compensation: A single bedroom with internet and cable, access to a communal kitchen.
Hours expectation: 10-15 hours per week

Office for Campus Life Positions
Graduate Intern for Programming (1 vacant position)
Responsibilities: Serve as co-advisor to the Tufts University Social Collective (TUSC) student programming board, attend major campus events, support late night and weekend programming, attend TUSC and OCL staff meetings, assisting with special projects.
Compensation: $12,000 per year and $100 in campus cash per semester
Hours expectation: 18 hours per week

Graduate Intern for Student Organizations (1 vacant position)
Responsibilities: Create and facilitate student organization trainings and resources, assist with managing the JumboLife student organization management platform, attend OCL staff meetings, assist with special projects.
Compensation: $12,000 per year with $100 campus cash per semester.
Hours expectation: 18 hours per week

Graduate Intern for Operations (1 vacant position)
Responsibilities: Train, supervise, and manage OCL Student Event Managers, Staffers and Social Media Assistants. Assist with administration of student employee recognition programs and events. Sit on the Event Registration Committee and navigate JumboLife platform in preparation for larger-scale events. Assist with special projects.
Compensation: $12,000 per year with $100 campus cash per semester.

Office for Health Promotion and Prevention Positions
Graduate Intern for Health Promotion and Prevention (1-2 vacant positions)
Responsibilities: Help develop health programs that include sleep, stress, nutrition, and physical activities. Support student health organizations and health communication efforts.
Compensation: $15/hr
Hours expectation: 10 hours per week
